For the past 6 years I've been trying to lose weight that I acquired during my senior year in high school. I've been able to lose 20 lbs since then but it hasn't been enough to feel good in my own skin. I used to be a dancer and was in very good shape! It's hard as you get older and aren't able to do the things you used to do.
When I moved down to San Diego a friend of mine suggested the 17 Day Diet. It's a very strict diet that you do in cycles. In the first 17 days I lost 10 lbs which was amazing! That's always the worst part of dieting or exercising, not being able to see results sooner. It always discourages me when I work really hard and don't see anything happening to myself. I know it takes time but I can be impatient! But as soon as I started adding in other foods into the diet, I slipped and could never get back on the wagon. I've retried several unsuccessful times.
Two friends back home are doing crossfit and more to get in shape. I've seen amazing results with them both and it encourages me to do the same. So I've decided to do crossfit at home. It'll be cheaper and more time convenient since I have a full time job.
Today is day 1 week 1!! I'm super excited to get started and see results. This is day #1 workout:
Strength
Weighted Squats: 5 sets x 5 reps
WOD
21-15-9
Jumping Squats
Push Ups
Mountain climbers
Sit Ups
Please wish me luck! It's really hard to start any workout regime and change your lifestyle. But with close friends and family supporting me I know I can do it!
