It's never a dull moment in our relationship. We've had our ups and downs and I wouldn't have it any other way. All the arguments, stupid or important, have made us who we are today. As a couple we go through a lot of crap such as financial woes. I think if we didn't go through all the stuff in the past we wouldn't be able to get our way passed all the troubles we have now. The key to happiness is to try and make the moment better and laugh about it! You really need a sense of humor to survive in this world.
We got married pretty quickly, we felt like there was no point in waiting. I moved to San Diego a month later. Why San Diego? Because Nolan was in the Navy at the time as a chef. We got a cute little one bedroom apartment in Mission Valley.
Well one day we got bored and had puppy fever.. BAD COMBINATION!! We ended up buying a dog the next day. That's Brutus in the pictures! He is my baby and I love him so much but he can be such a pain in the buttox! He's an Alaskan Malamute, cousin to the Husky. Brutus just turned one on March 1st, which just so happens to be our wedding anniversary! I think that was a big sign when we got him.
Before Brutus turned one, we moved to a bigger house with one of Nolan's close friends, Nate. It's a three bedroom, two bath treasure. There's a huge yard for our furry baby to run around.
Presently, Nolan is now out of the military and going to school for game art and design at the Art Institute. Unfortunately, the job I have now isn't paying enough so I need to go back to LA and get my old job back. Then Nolan, Brutus and I can find a nice place closer to friends and family!
I'm so excited to see what the rest of our lives have in store for us. I'm really glad I'll have my best friend by my side!
